About Dr. Amiya Prasad Dr. Amiya Prasad is the Surgical Director of Le Visage Cosmetic Surgery with offices in Manhattan 's Upper Eastside and Garden City, Long Island . Dr. Prasad has performed thousands of surgeries and is well recognized for Natural Cosmetic Surgery. A graduate of The Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, Dr. Prasad received his specialty training by top plastic surgeons associated with The University of Texas in Houston and Galveston as well as The Baylor College of Medicine. He has developed techniques that are well suited to modern lifestyles as he balances artistry and an individualized design with minimal risk, maximal gain and quick recovery. With advanced training in eye microsurgery and facial plastic surgery, Dr. Prasad possesses a unique perspective. He has written many well-received articles in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Prasad has been practicing in New York for more than 10 years. He teaches future surgeons at several institutions including SUNY Downstate Medical School where he is an Assistant Professor, Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital , Winthrop University Hospital and Nassau University Medical Center . He was formerly Chief of Oculofacial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Brookdale University Hospital in Brooklyn , New York before leaving to work full-time in his thriving practice. In addition to his private practice and pro bono work for victims of violence he serves as Chief of Oculofacial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Winthrop University Hospital. He lectures and teaches colleagues regularly about cosmetic surgery.
